Fireworks at dark!!

Bring your water, lawn chairs and picnic blankets! (Probably bug spray too!) Best places to see the show are at the Gaston's Visitor Center Overlook at the Bull Shoals Dam, on the Lakeview side of the Dam at the park, and at the bottom of the Dam. If you have a boat, then anchor out on the lake or park on the White River to get a nice view. The show will begin after dark.

Keep in mind that we expect an increased number of spectators this year and there will be a lot of traffic.  Be patient, courteous and understanding.  You may have to walk a good ways to get a good place to sit as well.  It will be well worth it!  We all look forward to seeing the community gather!

HAPPY 250TH BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!

The VFW is having its 8th Annual 4th of July Celebration and Parade on Saturday July 4. 

Parade starts at 11 at Hwy 178 and Marion Ave. by Dam Site Park. 

Line up at 10:30.  The parade rolls down Hwy 178 to the VFW (easy to find we have a helicopter).

• There will be prizes for the best float $100 for 1st, 2 walleye dinners for 2nd and 2 lunches for third.

Everyone is welcome to come. 

Music starts at 12 Noon in the Hall.  This years entertainment will be Charlie Askew.  Charlie was on American Idol in 2013.  You may have seen him at the Piano Bar in Mountain Home. 

Food will be: $1 hot dogs, $3 brats, $3 meatball sundaes, $7 half pound burgers.  Potato or macaroni salad $2, Root Beer Floats $1.50, $1 soda and bottled water, $2 Gatorade. 

Adult beverages can be purchased in the canteen.
