Bull Shoals Library will be having their book sale on 12 June 2009 at the Bull Shoals Library. They will be open 9 AM to 5 PM.

A chicken dinner fundraiser for the fireworks show at Lakeview Park will be 4 - 7 PM at the Hoevel-Barnett VFW Post 1341 in Bull Shoals. All proceeds will go towards the fireworks.

The annual Bull-Shoals-White River State Park Troutfest is set for this weekend at the park. Activities will include a fly-tying exhibition, crafts, scenic White River cruises, Dutch oven demonstration, a variety of campground programs. The weekend finale will be a Father's Day fishing tournament Sunday. There is no registration fee. The Lions Clubs of Bull Shoals, Cotter, Flippin, Lakeview, Mountain Home, Mountain View, and Yellville "War on Hunger" host the 1st Annual Food Drive and Soup Kitchen to benefit the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas. Bring a sack of non-perishable foods or monetary donation and enjoy the "ambience" of a Depression-Era Soup Kitchen" as it serves soup, bologna, bread and apples as a thank you for supporting the Food Bank. The event will be hold at the Community 1st National Bank, 310 Hwy 62l East, Mountain Home, AR. The event run from 10 AM to 4 PM.
