Industry and businesses of the area offer many opportunities in Marion and Baxter counties. The counties bordering Bull Shoals Lake and the White River, Baxter to the east and Marion to the west, offer many businesses and industries who provide a variety of job opportunities. These opportunities range from medical to manufacturing. Boat manufacturing is the largest industry in the area with plastic, garment, electrical component and cable right behind. There are numerous businesses offering part-time employment for retirees who can't seem to retire altogether.
